This work was created for an exhibition entitled Dali and Me
Dali,”The Master”, “The Divine One”, considered a cult figure of the modern era, takes on a new life with this exhibition curated by Rochi Llaneza.
The name of this show only references the book of the same title in that this exhibit pairs a Dali artwork with an artist’s interpretation of that specific Dali piece. So, only in the act of pairing are they similar and that the pieces will be displayed together. Otherwise, the fine roster of artists will have full artistic freedom referencing Dali as he once did when he used Currier & Ives images for inspiration as part of a suite of prints produced in 1971.
